Parks, Open Spaces and Ponds
    1. Solstice Park is located on the west side of the community and includes a large grass area, awning with tables, and hard trails that will take you throughout the community.
    2. Windmill Park is located on the east side and also features a large open grass area as well as a playground for the kiddos (or anyone who wants to do some climbing and sliding).
    3. There are three ponds: Reflection Pond, Waters Edge, and Windmill Pond. Each has trails that wrap around them and are great areas to get phenomenal photos.
    4. All water/ponds are considered no touch, meaning there is no fishing allowed. There are some great local fishing options in Highlands Ranch.

Golf Carts
    1. Golf carts are very popular in Backcountry, but they must be electric, have the same lights, blinkers, etc., as a vehicle, and follow the Private Streets Use Policy. Homeowners must complete a Golf Cart Registration and Release of Liability form and provide a copy of insurance documentation naming Backcountry Association as additional insured. Upon completion of the noted documents, please visit the Sundial House to pay the $25 registration fee. The golf cart will be inspected and registration stickers will be provided at time of registration. Unregistered golf carts are subject to violation of the policy.

Sundial House
    1. Nestled atop a dominant ridge, the Sundial House is your own private lodge, a luxurious retreat offering panoramic views of everything from Downtown Denver, Longs Peak to Pikes Peak, and the 8,200 acres of Backcountry Wilderness Area.
      – The Sundial House also helps you look inward. You and your family will come here to use the resort-style outdoor pool, and catch up with friends in Pikes Pub and lounge areas. Visit the lounge and community rooms, get your pulse racing in the fitness and movement studios. Please visit the Pikes Pub page for more details.
      – The Sundial House even hosts concerts at the outdoor amphitheater, with nature’s own wonder as a backdrop to the stage. Of course, whenever adventure calls, the Sundial House guides you out into the Backcountry Wildness Area, and leads you back home at day’s end.
